Hi Steve...It is so good to here from you! Hope Y"all had a wonderful Christmas...Yea I don't know where everybody went on here but there are still a few faithful ones that are here every day. We miss hearing from you folks over that way and I wish we could all get together and Jam sometime...Steve Maycroft would have loved to do that!
Hi Steve. Almost a year ago you asked me about the Aardvarks and particularly Gary Walker. I've been totally tied up with handling my brothers estate. He passed away after a 19 year battle with Parkinson's disease and it has been 2 years of effort and 15 grand loss straightening up everything. But that's another story. I was in contact with John Carter and he had some pictures and recorded music from the old Aardvarks back when we were in Gary's basement. He sent it to me and we have set up a site on Musicians Home with pictures and music from the records we recorded. The site is Aardvarks 1964-1966. Any of the band members can be contacted thru the site and each can respond individually.Sorry for the long delay but it couldn't be helped. I'm sure that Gary would be happy to hear from you. Darryl
I just stopped by to visit and I have been enjoying all of the great music you have been a part of for so many years my friend! Thank's for being here brother!
Glad you like them. I'm sure Big Daddy appreciates it too.
I had a great time recording them guys. They were a lot of fun, and man did they they play their asses off.
I didn't listen to that album for quite awhile after I got done mixing it. Last month I got it back out and started listening to it again. It's hard to listen to something objectively when you first mix it. You're to close to it. I've really been enjoying it a lot. Big Daddy and I would appreciate it if you would spread the word.
Anyway, thanks again for your great comments, they are appreciated. Have a great day. TTYL
I'm so glad that you enjoyed my music. I was not sure if I downloaded the song correctly. The piano player was in the band. I do not know his name. I just know he was great. Thank you for your kind words.
Somewhere in the deep recesses of my mind I remember that your family was related to the Furbushes.
And now, I also remember that Mick has passes away. They were Wold Lake folks as were so many of us.
We go to church where Dan goes and that's why my curosity was asking these questions.
So, once again, you have filled me in completely on this issue.
I will look at your pictures for the other boys. Thanks
Hello my friend...I am so sorry that I couldn't make it to Steve's Benefit. It was all my intension's on being there but something came up that I couldn't get out of. You know this site would not even be worth a good damn if it wasn't for Steve Maycroft and all that he has done to get all of his many friends from over that way in here...He was a hell of a guy and a hell of a musician! I will sure miss him here at Musician's Home....
Your friend,
